Inner peace

Hey peeps! So... life passes by, and sometimes you need to sit back and think if you are just kinda "surviving," and not living your life to your fullest potential. I have always made sure I am constantly changing, pursuing my dreams, and becoming friends with time. It sounds silly, but it has been working for me. You can't really just work to pay bills, if you are currently doing this please stop. Enjoy going out, find your friends, take your buddy or partner on a date! As much as you should feel proud of your accomplishments and all, you should also get rid of the mentality of taking credit for everything, or the mentality of "I deserve this or that." Everything is by grace; however, most things in life are DECISIONS! And the product of those decisions is in your hands. To live a good life, it doesn't automatically happen overnight. "One thing" can't really fix EVERY area, well I mean Jesus can, but it is also lots of effort, willingn...

How's Your Soul By Judah Smith Overview

I read How's Your Soul with my fiancé about a year and a half ago. We would go to our favorite park, bring some bread for the ducks, and after walking around we'd sit and read this book. It brought strength to our relationship, we created a good habit and awesome memories, as well as connecting with God differently (besides the usual going to church). These are some of the things that I learned from this book: 1. Your soul can't be satisfied without Jesus: See, people get this one mixed up. No partner, dream job, dream house, etc can fulfill this part of you. There is something that comes before any of these people or things, and that is, your personal time with God. 2. If you keep number one number one, then everything else falls into place: What do I mean by this? Well, if your soul is content, you can focus on making others' day! You'll be a more positive person, more lively, and more secure of who you are. Not only who you are in God, but who you...

Currently Reading: The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

This book is LIFE CHANGING AND SELF-REASSURING. Stay tuned since I want to break down each part once I'm done! At first it was very hard to get through the "Getting Started" part. It was too technical, with lots of research and names of experts I've never heard of before. I understand the value of ethos, and seeing how author spent a lot of time studying and all, but she kinda lost me there. So far these are the things I've learned: 1. A good balance of things gives you a different outlook in life. (And it becomes more enjoyable) 2. Happiness equals productivity! If you are happy, you will be more productive with your time, at work, with family, on your own... 3. Research shows that sleep is important! Still learning this one myself... you are healthier and happier if you sleep. On that note, Goodnight!
