My experience at Cyclebar (indoor cycling studio)

A Brief Overview on Fitness
So I've always disliked gyms... I haven't been to a gym since 2014. Not my style, not something I'm into at all!
I played soccer my whole life or danced, and this was literally how I stayed fit and healthy for years. When I moved to the city, it was much harder to play outside or ride my bike to school.
I've always been conscious of my eating habits, and the fact that I needed to do something in regards to my physical health. I took yoga this summer with my best friend and it was truly a blast! However, I didn't feel like I was sweating enough, or burning enough calories. I was worried about what my future in fitness would look like, especially with my upcoming wedding & getting closer to winter time, which limits you from any outdoor physical activities.
How I got plugged in
I saw different ads about Cyclebar, and I didn't really consider it till I saw that one of my classmates from high school was an instructor there.
I checked out the studio a few times, and I fell in love with it! It's exactly what I want and need, and here's why:
1. It's a good balance between work & personal life.
Sometimes you just need to get away from your circle and meet new faces, even if it's for a few minutes after your workout.
Cyclebar is only 15 min away from my house, but the drive there is fun. I put on some music and start to decompress before I even arrive to the studio.
2. The whole experience is therapeutic, makes you feel taken care of, and you leave on a positive note!
Cyclebar instructors and front desk people always acknowledge you with a smile. They truly feel happy when you come in. From their cool amenities like free drinks and snacks, and a lady waiting for you with clean towels  for your face afterwards, to their awesome lockers, free shoes, and showers with all the toiletries you need. The studio is quite fancy.
3. You could go elsewhere, but it's not the same!
I have gone to regular rec centers where they have spinning bikes with the purpose of saving more money, and staying for as long as I want. It's not the same thing!!!I'm not as motivated, no one is pushing me or holding me accountable on how many gears I should add, work my arms, stretch, do push ups in between, etc. Having a passionate & determined instructor makes all the difference, plus all the other perks!
4. The music and light features are bomb
Yes, everything enters the eye first (and ears). Having good music on your phone is one thing, but when everyone is pumped around you is a whole different experience!
The best way I can explain this is if you're dancing by yourself in your room with your headphones on versus being at a party dancing it off with blasting music, lights, and people super into it.
In short, I feel like everyone should go to the studio at least once and see what the hype is about. It's a dope concept, and a genius way to get you off the couch! It is pricey though, and sometimes you can't really afford to go and you lose track of the routine, however, they do offer great deals from time to time, so just keep an eye on it!
Your first class is free anyway ;)
