Going to church for all the wrong reasons

Hey y'all!
Tonight as I meditate in God's word, so many things come to mind when it comes to fellowship/attending to a church building! There's a lot of heartache among the people today at a church building and obviously even more among those who don't even go anymore.

I titled this "Going to church for all the wrong reasons" and I know the first thing that comes to mind is relationships right? Especially nowadays it seems that a lot of people (mostly teens/young adults) 

are going to a church building to find a partner. Nothing wrong with wanting to get married to a Godly person, yet that's not always the case! There are lots of wolves in sheep clothing in the church and you have to ask The Lord to keep your heart, guard it and preserve it til the end! And until He confirms you when the right time and the right person is! 

Now, relationships is not all there is when we're talking about going to a church building for the wrong reasons! There are lots of people who go just to hang out with friends, to get food, to check out if there are sports/fun things to get involved in, etc! Now don't get me wrong on this, I absolutely agree with having different groups and activities which help people to stay connected, but not everyone's on the same boat. Some people are not even saved, and are being called "leaders" and already have these huge roles in the church. That's a lot to take in!! How can you share unity with someone who isn't walking in the same light as you? It's biblical! Check this out: 2 Corinthians 6:14 (and no, this is not talking about marriages only!) Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

Friends, be really careful! Others are trying to go for their own personal benefits, status, etc!
 God tests and weighs every heart, if something isn't right, the Holy Spirit will convict you and deliver you from the evil one! Going to church should be a whole different deal, and I pray you ain't going for any of the reasons mentioned above. Hopefully you're going to church to listen to the word of God. Hopefully you are actually looking forward to learning it & then putting it into practice. Hopefully you are feeling pumped beforehand, and ready to sing some songs and pray, and not even worried about what others might think. You know, sometimes you just have to go ahead & cry your eyes out in His presence. Let Him fill you up!
My question is, do you know what you're going to church for? Or WHY are you going in the first place? It's reeval time. The coming of The Lord is at hand!
In the meantime, ask God for the forgiveness of your sins, TURN AWAY FROM THEM FOR REALS! Serve Him wholeheartedly outside of the four walls, not only on Sunday morning. 
Come hungry and thirsty for righteousness. Come to the church building hungry and thirsty for the Word! This isn't some dead boring ritual or religion! That in fact sounds kind of creepy! 
Come and delight yourself in The Lord like a kid! 

Have a date with Jesus all the time! Be a doer, and not just a listener of the Word! 
Those precious times alone with the Holy Spirit can't be compared, but you need to try and take time to find Him!
